Holders Svay Rieng face Visakha in Hun Sen Cup

Four-time Hun Sen Cup winners Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng will open their campaign to retain domestic football’s most coveted trophy with a double leg clash against much talked about newcomers Visakha on July 11. The second leg is slated for July 18.

The draw involving top flight league teams and qualifiers from the Provincial Stage was done on Thursday morning.

The home and away quarterfinals will be held on August 1 and 8, while the semifinals are scheduled for September 1 and 2, leading to the October 6 grand final.

Four teams, Koh Kong, National Football Academy U18, Kampot and Kirivong Sok Sen Chey qualified from the provincial competition to join the 12 elite Metfone C-League teams in the last 16.

The other matches are: Koh Kong v National Academy; Western Phnom Penh v Boeung Ket; Soltilo v Angkor Tiger; Electricite du Cambodge v Phnom Penh Crown; NagaWorld v Kampot; Ministry of National Defense v Asia Euro United; and National Police Commissary v Kirivong Sok Sen Chey.
