The Premier League lacked little in terms of excitement over the weekend, with Liverpool sensationally dumping the champions Man United 3-0 on their home turf while leaders Chelsea took a tumble away at Aston Villa.

While some prolific performances on the pitch didn’t necessarily translate into a profusion of points in the Cellcard Fantasy League, there were still some ripe pickings to be had in gameweek 30.

Man City’s midfield maestro David Silva was back in top form against Hull, setting up one, scoring another and helping his team keep a clean sheet to amass 14 points.

The Spaniard was a point ahead of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who bagged a brace but missed a penalty, as well as Stoke’s double scoring striker Peter Odemwingie.

Winner of the Cellcard prizes of a US$20 phone voucher and T-shirt was Sangmin Lee with his team world-traveller on 82 points.

Lee’s international squad featured the popular captain’s choice of Liverpool’s Luiz Suarez for 22 points, while Gerrard and fellow Dreamteamers Seamus Coleman of Everton (11 points) and Sunderland keeper Vito Mannone (10) were also deployed to good effect.

Gameweek 31 is an absolute monster, with no fewer than 15 fixtures filling out the weekend and following midweek period.

Chelsea host Arsenal in what could be a defining clash to start proceedings on Saturday, while the Manchester derby next Tuesday at Old Trafford will offer up the usual hysteria.
