Meu vows to come back ‘better than ever’

Cambodian mixed martial artist Meas Meu has promised to come back stronger than ever after his first round knockout loss to Edward “the Ferocious” Kelly at ONE: Global Superheroes at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila last weekend.

After his first defeat in MMA, Meu drops to a six win, one loss record but the Kampong Thom-born fighter has vowed to come back “better than ever”.

“I feel really ashamed of myself to lose the way I did on that night. I’m better than that and I want another chance to prove it. I just got caught, but Edward was the better fighter that night.

“For this fight I had a great camp and I felt great coming into the bout, but I feel I have more to offer.

"Edward was the better man, but next time it will be different. I hope to get another chance in the ONE cage – I feel I let everyone down including myself.

"It’s my first ever loss and it will make me better than ever.”
