A weekend full of Premier League fixtures failed to yield significant rewards in Gameweek 30, with few real standout performances on offer for managers of the CC/PPP/CTN Fantasy League.
Top dog in the Dream team was another surprise name, Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal, who notched a goal and helped keep a clean sheet to amass 15 points for the minority that fielded him.
The 27-year-old Spaniard signed for the Gunners during the last day of the January transfer window and his weekly totals have shown rich dividends for his £5.5 million price tag.
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, meanwhile, is a far more popular choice and was the star player in their 2-0 win over West Ham in which he set up the first and scored the second to collect 14 points.
The weekly victor was Sek Vongpangvuth with his side Sathapana Limited FC on 75 points, who scraped out victory with a captain’s pick of Man United match winner Wayne Rooney (9) as well as Hazard (14) and Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov (9).
Vongpangvuth, who’s team is currently way down in 463rd in the overall standings, wins a US$20 phone voucher and T-shirt from sponsors Cellcard.
International World Cup qualifiers command the attention this weekend, with the Premier League due to resume the following weekend.
