Biplan Global – Cambodia’s leading IT solutions provider – last Friday signed a contract for IT infrastructure implementation with Oriental Bank Plc, bringing its expertise as the Kingdom’s newest bank embraces the latest technologies, such as blockchain and fintech.

Biplan Global is engaged in the designing and implementation of IT infrastructure – network, servers, storages, among others – and both main and disaster recovery data centres.

“As Oriental Bank is scheduled to commence its operations soon, we had the challenge to provide an IT infrastructure solution that would be both cost-efficient and scalable for future digital growth.

“By leveraging our extensive experience and best practices, working closely with multiple vendors, we have created a tailor-made solution which will be a strong foundation for this new bank.

“With every customer, our approach is simple – we want to build a long-term relationship and help them grow. When our customer grows, we will grow together with them as their IT requirements will naturally increase with their growth,” said CEO Kirill Bratchenko.

Biplan Global was founded in 2012 by people with long experience in the IT and telecommunications industries.

Oriental Bank has been newly licensed as a fully fledged commercial bank by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC).

Having vast experience in the financial services and banking sector, Oriental Bank’s management team has considered the robust growth opportunities in digital banking with more and more consumers becoming increasingly tech aware.

With a well mixed and robust strategy focusing on digital solutions without neglecting the conventional banking approach strategy, Oriental Bank is aiming to capture the market share of digital-savvy consumers as well as those who prefer the traditional bricks-and-mortar banking experience.

From planning to the full implementation and commissioning of all hardware and software, Biplan Global’s expertise will ensure Oriental Bank follows the highest industry standards, while utilising its solutions for conventional and digital business growth.

“In this data-centre solution, our main hardware is from Huawei. Once finished, Oriental Bank’s data centres will be Tier-III ready with state-of-the-art all-flash storages and network equipment which will equip the new bank for stiff competition with its peers.

“The main software vendors are Red Hat and VMware, as they will support the servers’ virtualisation and readiness for core banking and other essential banking systems,” Bratchenko added.

Biplan Global is the only Huawei Gold Partner in Cambodia and first 4-star service partner in the Southeast Asia emerging market.

It also partners with more than 20 of the top global technology leaders, such as Red Hat, VMware, Cisco, Dell, Microsoft, Veeam, Fortinet and Palo Alto.

The Biplan Global strategy is to use the accumulated most innovative industry-specific expertise to deliver high quality and cost-effective services and solutions, without compromising on after-sales service, which will outperform the traditional trends of success in software and hardware service provisioning.

Its solutions and services are based on research, technical and operational support, integration and implementation services, as well as being focused on high quality, timely delivery and a cost-effective approach for an exact fit with customer’s needs.
