CRF to register ‘Angkor Malis’ brand and logo

The Cambodian Rice Federation (CRF) will officially register the name “Angkor Malis” in June as the umbrella brand for the Kingdom’s premium varieties of fragrant rice, a representative said yesterday.

Moul Sarith, the industry body’s acting secretary-general, said the name and its associated brand logo were selected after a CRF committee worked closely with government officials for over a year to study the potential of branding locally-produced premium rice, including its famed phka romduol variety.
