The Cambodian Rice Federation (CRF) will officially register the name “Angkor Malis” in June as the umbrella brand for the Kingdom’s premium varieties of fragrant rice, a representative said yesterday.
Moul Sarith, the industry body’s acting secretary-general, said the name and its associated brand logo were selected after a CRF committee worked closely with government officials for over a year to study the potential of branding locally-produced premium rice, including its famed phka romduol variety.
