First regular Chinese flight touches down in Sihanoukville

First regular Chinese flight touches down in Sihanoukville

The first of Chinese-owned Ruili Airlines' resumed regular flights to Sihanoukville touched down on January 27, with a total of 104 passengers aboard.

Ministry of Tourism secretary of state Hor Sarun led a delegation to welcome the new arrivals.

The resumption of regular scheduled flights is expected to serve as a bridge for an influx of Chinese tourists, now that China has lifted travel flight restrictions.

The auspicious event was also attended by CheaOun, secretary of state at the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), Mang Sineth, the deputy governor of Preah Sihanouk province, and Chhay Sivlin, president of the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents, along with several other dignitaries and youth representatives.
