TWENTY microfinance institutions (MFIs) and an NGO that is a member of the Microfinance Association (CMA) took part in a one-day workshop Wednesday on the use of technology in microfinance and retail banking. Organised by the association with assistance from accounting firm Southtech Co, the event looked at modern accounting methods for MFIs to promote efficiency within the sector, said Koy Somrithvisoth, an IT and marketing assistant of CMA.
