The Embassy of Italy in Thailand and the Italian Trade Agency in Thailand are pleased to announce the celebration in Cambodia of the 8th Italian Cuisine Week in the World from November 19-26, 2023.

The annual event, promoting Italy’s world-famous culture of enjoying food and wine, is set to take Cambodia by storm, with a number of Italian restaurants in Phnom Penh and other cities preparing and offering special menus and wine promotions for customers throughout the entire week.

H.E. Paolo Dionisi, the Italian Ambassador to Thailand, spoke of his delight at the “global culinary extravaganza” being held across Cambodia.

"This extraordinary festival of Italian gastronomy, kicking off on Sunday in Cambodia, is a global culinary extravaganza that highlights the rich and diverse flavours of Italian cuisine and the country's list of the world's finest wines. 

“Annually, Italian Cuisine Week is held around the same time in some 110 countries across the world.

“We are extremely pleased that the celebration of Italian Cuisine Week in Cambodia will cover not only Phnom Penh, but also Siem Reap, Kampot and the beach town of Kep," said H.E. Paolo Dionisi.

Paola Guida, Italian Trade Commissioner-Thailand & Myanmar, added: "The Italian Cuisine Week in Cambodia 2023 has been organised by ICE-Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Bangkok, ICBA Italian Cambodian Business Association and Ideal Distribution Cambodia.

“It will feature as its highlight the Wine Master Class and Walk Around Tasting at the iconic Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, on November 21.”

Featuring renowned wine expert Professor Falan Srisuriyachai, a certified professional Sommelier Assistant, the afternoon masterclass at 2pm is designed to cater to professionals.

The evening class is intended for members of the public who are passionate about wines, and will be capped off with a Walk Around Tasting from 7.30-8.30pm.
