Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh and the Phnom Penh Choral Ensemble – PPCE – are proud to present "PPCE Sings Movies", a charity concert to benefit the Sok Sabay Association and Unity for Children's Education Organization.
The event – billed as "A Charity Concert to Make a Child's Wish Come True – will take place on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 4:30pm in the Regency Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh.
The concert will feature a journey through two decades of movies from the 2000s to the 2020s, with songs and soundtracks from some of the most popular films of all time.
The performance will be divided into two parts – "Movie songs in chronological order"; and "Highlights from the 2017 musical 'The Greatest Showman'".
All proceeds from the concert will go to the Sok Sabay Association and Unity for Children's Education Organization, two NGOs working to provide children with access to education and other essential resources.
Sok Sabay Association is a 23-year-old non-profit that helps children from vulnerable and violent environments, while Unity for Children's Education Organisation is a school situated in Siem Reap province that provides free primary education to the less privileged in the area.
"It is important, now more than ever, to care for our local community's future – the lives of its children and students.
"I truly believe that together with Phnom Penh Choral Ensemble, we can make a meaningful change in the future of our community," said Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh General Manager Juan Mercadante.
Tickets for the concert are on sale now and can be purchased online or at the hotel's front desk.
With a night of great music and entertainment – and all for a great cause – such a special event is not to be missed.
There will also be a lucky draw with prizes including a one-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh; a Sunday family buffet brunch at the Market Cafe Restaurant & Lounge; and a Classic Set Menu at FiveFive Rooftop Restaurant & Bar.
