The Lighthouse Club Cambodia’s 6th Annual Charity Golf Day was held at Royal Cambodia Phnom Penh Golf Club on February 13. With some 60 players, this year proved to be their largest event. The Lighthouse Club is a worldwide construction industry charitable organisation started in the UK over 60 years ago, with the Phnom Penh branch established in 2010. The club aims to support less well-off young Cambodians through education, help injured construction workers and promote good fellowship and cooperation among its members, said Lighthouse co-chairman Kerr Thomson. “This year was our largest golf event, with more than 60 players and a record amount raised through sponsors and players. The money raised will be able to support 10 students through a year of construction-related education, covering tuition and living costs. The club would like to thank the players and the many sponsors of the event for making it such a success,” Thomson said. Photos by Hong Menea
