Woori Bank (Cambodia) PLc celebrated the Closing Ceremony of the Talent Incubation Program Generation 2 on June 30, 2023, with 45 incubatees having completed three months of training.

The event held at the leading financial institution's head office in Phnom Penh was presided over by the CEO of Woori Bank Cambodia, Kim HongJu, and the management team.

“I am delighted to be participating in this exciting event – the Closing Ceremony of the Talent Incubation Program Generation 2.

"The Talent Incubation Program is a Woori Bank succession plan targeting students and fresh graduates from all universities in Cambodia, and celebrating our successful Gen2 incubatees is truly a special occasion.

"Everyone selected for this programme has become successful incubatees through learning all about our institution to build long-term careers at Woori Bank," said Kim HongJu.

The Talent Incubation Program Generation 2 began in April 2023 and was completed in June.

It aims to support students and fresh graduates by providing them a comprehensive capacity-building programme accelerating their professional growth at Woori Bank, and preparing them for a successful future.

Furthermore, it aims to provide opportunities for inexperienced fresh graduates eager to embark on an exciting career in the field of banking.

Tha Sokvy, one of the recent incubatees, commended the programme for providing real work skills for a career in finance.

"Only Woori Bank provides such a programme for students seeking experience in the banking sector, while supplying income to support their studies before beginning work. No other bank in Cambodia has provided this kind of programme before.

"I have learned a lot over the past three months, including knowledge across all departments at Woori Bank, and technical skills of use in the working environment such as teamwork and presentation skills," said Sokvy.

Woori Bank Cambodia has already completed two generations of the Talent Incubation Program, with the first concluding in July, 2022.

The programme is open to students in their second or higher year of university study, with selected participants commencing three months of training comprising New Staff Orientation, as well as courses across Woori Bank Cambodia departments.

After completing the training programme, all successful incubatees will begin a fascinating career path, one preparing them for future management roles at Woori Bank.
