Job Title : Agriculture Economist Report to : Chief Executive Officer Location : Head Office Phnom Penh Closing Date : February 5, 2016
Job Responsibilities ♦ Work closely with CEO and executive team to develop an economic data which will directly or indirectly impact AMK’s business currently or future plan. ♦ Work with Research Department to establish a research work plan on difference agriculture activities which directly or indirectly related to AMK’s current and future plan ♦ Provide regular economic outlook and update to CEO and Executive on the possible impact and/or importunity for AMK. ♦ Assist CEO to formulate the strategy to tackle the change in economic situation which may impact and/or opportunity to AMK ♦ Review and analyze on regular basis on the impact on the current agriculture output where AMK’s client is expose to. Provide recommendation to CEO and executive team to tackle the impact and/opportunity. ♦ Gather and establish data set on difference agriculture activity including but not limit to the input, and yield. Develop the forecasting modelling on long term agriculture and macro-economic outlook. ♦ Working with Training Department to develop and provide training to AMK staff on basic agriculture business and risk associated. ♦ Other tasks as assigned by CEO and AMK’s EXCO or Senior Management Committee.
Qualification and Experiences: ♦ Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economic, Economic, or other related field/subject ♦ At least 5 years practical experience ♦ Ability to think and act strategically ♦ Demonstrated ability to not only manage, but lead strategic teams ♦ Strong leadership capabilities ♦ High energy individual who can motivate staff and create business momentum ♦ Very strong communication skills in English and Khmer (written and spoken) ♦ Ability to work with cross functional teams ♦ Proven record of successful project delivery ♦ Ability to construct business models and write business plans with financial projections ♦ Strong conceptualization and analytical skills ♦ Honesty and excellent interpersonal skills
AMK provides competitive salary package to its employees with multiple bonus and other benefits, including Khmer New Year bonus, Pchum Ben bonus, incentive, pension fund, 100% medical insurance for employee’s spouse and dependences for local treatment and for staff is up to USD 2,000 for oversea treatment, 24 hours accident insurance, staff loan for education purpose with only 2% interest rate per year, USD 300 bonus for both maternity or paternity and up to USD 1,000 if surgery required, 18 days annual leave, capacity building per job requirement, and good working condition in accordance to the Cambodian Labor Law.
