Apprenticeship Manager (Full Time) – Skills Development Programme (Ref: SDP16-009)


Swisscontact has been active in South East Asia for over four decades with our oldest project starting in Indonesia in 1971. The Philippines and Vietnam had several programs in the past. Our on-going and upcoming projects are focussed on Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. Swisscontact’s portfolio in the region is focussed on the twin pillars of Skills Development and Small and Medium Enterprise Development.


The Swisscontact Cambodia office was established in April 2016 and will implement the Skills Development Programme (SDP), funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), from July 2016.  The SDP aims to increase the income and employment opportunities for disadvantaged young women and men in the three rural provinces of Preah Vihear, Stung Treng and Kratie and to contribute to the creation of an inclusive, relevant, qualitative and well-coordinated TVET system nationwide. The programme comprises of four components - mobile training, hospitality training, apprenticeship, and policy, all of which work towards strengthening the skills development landscape in Cambodia.


SDP is looking for a skilled and ambitious professional to fill the post of Apprenticeship Manager and to support the implementation of SDP. S/he will be responsible for SDP’s improvement of informal apprenticeships that are provided in small and medium enterprises, and strengthen the overall apprenticeship system in the targeted provinces.


The position requires good communications and management skills, flexibility and a willingness to travel.
