Supply Chain Development Facilitator   Duty Station : based in Kratie with frequent travel to other provinces and Phnom Penh Project areas : Kratie and Mondul Kiri   HEKS, a Swiss International NGO, is committed to justice, peace and the sustainable development. HEKS aims to contribute to greater equality and prosperity for rural communities across the globe by strengthening the structures of civil society. HEKS specifically focusses on enabling the rural poor to gain access to land and (natural) resources, on integrating them in profitable, sustainable value chains and on stimulating their peaceful coexistence.   HEKS is currently planning for a new agricultural market development project, which will follow a systemic approach. It will focus on the cashew nut market system, as well as on access to land issues. For this project, HEKS is looking for dynamic and analytic candidates for the following positions to lead and monitor market-based interventions.   1. Market Systems Development and Monitoring and Evaluation Facilitator Key tasks and responsibilities Market Systems Development Facilitator (50%) ♦ Conduct market assessments and identify opportunities and challenges in cashew nut market system. ♦ Participate in the development of vision, intervention strategies and business models for cashew nut market system intervention and for access to land for production expansion ♦ Identify market actors (private and public) to partner with. ♦ Elaborate economically, ecologically and socially sustainable business models with these partners. ♦ Lead and/or accompany and monitor closely the implementation of the interventions. ♦ Collect and document information, knowledge, learning relevant for improvement of the intervention strategies.   Monitoring & Evaluation Facilitator (50%) ♦ Participate/co-lead in the development of the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system and tools. ♦ Coordinate all M&E as needed, to ensure high quality data collection and management. ♦ Support the project manager with planning as well as with timely and accurate reporting. ♦ Take a lead in documentation and publication of the project’s knowledge, learning and advocacy material. ♦ Support the setting-up and maintenance of the project communication tools.   2. Supply Chain Development Facilitator Key tasks and responsibilities ♦ Conduct market assessments and identify opportunities and challenges in cashew nut market system. ♦ Participate in the development of vision, supply-chain intervention strategies and business models. ♦ Identify market actors (private and public) to partner with the supply-chain business models. ♦ Elaborate economically, ecologically and socially sustainable supply-chain business models with partners. ♦ Lead and/or accompany and monitor closely the implementation of the interventions. ♦ Collect and document information, knowledge, learning relevant for improvement of the intervention strategies.   Requirements for both positions ♦ At least Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture, agri-business, business administration or other related subject. Master degree is preference. Minimum 3-5 years experience in private sector development, value chain development, agri-business or another business. ♦ Experience working in remote, rural environment, and closely with farmer and farmer groups is a plus. ♦ Ability to conduct research and analysis, as well as to design and lead interventions. Strong analytical and managerial skills, coupled with an innovative and creative mind-set. ♦ Strong communication skills, ability to bring actors together, coach them and build capacities   Application Information HEKS is proving equal job opportunity for women and men.
