Action Against Hunger saves the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger for over 35 years in more than 45 countries benefiting thirteen million people each year. Action Against Hunger is starting programs in Cambodia and we are excited to invite motivated and qualified professionals for the following positions to join our dynamic team:
Advocacy and Communication Officer (Location: Phnom Penh) (National position) Reporting to the Country Director, the Advocacy & Communication officer will be responsible for (1) development and implementation of Action Against Hunger Cambodia advocacy strategy for addressing the problem of malnutrition in Cambodia; (2) ensuring Action Against Hunger’s added value in defining the structure of the Civil Society Network for the SUN movement; (3) developing advocacy and communications products such as policy briefings, press briefs, human interest stories and other media products; (4) ensuring the integration of the Action Against Hunger Cambodia advocacy strategy in all our country programs; and (5)participating in internal and external reporting of the activities of the Advocacy and Communication programme
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, communication, media or public policy development. Minimum 2 years professional experience in advocacy, communication and media development. Outstanding oral and written communication skills in Khmer and English. Ability to lobby, network, influence and represent Action Against Hunger Cambodia at all levels.
Nutrition Program Manager (Location: Phnom Penh) (National position) Reporting to the Country Director, the Nutrition Program Manager is responsible for (1) development and implementation of Action Against Hunger Cambodia strategy to promote the development of nutrition-sensitive approach in food security and livelihood interventions; (2) providing technical expertise to other stakeholders (Government, UN, NGOs): joint assessment, elaboration of action plans, training, coaching, data collection,…(3) and nutrition project cycle management. You will develop program strategy suitable to the Cambodian context and build partnership in line with ACF strategy. You will be in charge of nutrition team management and capacity building.
Qualifications: Degree in Nutrition of Public Health. Minimum 3 years of humanitarian experience. Experience in nutrition sensitive approach. Strong analytical, writing and communication skills. Experience with training design and providing technical assistance to Government.
