Siem Reap river cruises underway until New Year

Siem Reap provincial authorities will organise boat trips along the Siem Reap River from December 25 to January 1, yet another attraction for visitors to the province during the New Year’s celebration.

“The provincial administration invites the general public, local and international, to come and celebration the year end marking the onset of 2023,” said the administration, in a December 23 social media post.

The boat tours follow the recent inaugural Angkor Thanksgiving, which was held from December 14-15, with large crowds participating.

The Apsara National Authority (ANA) regarded it as a great success. During the celebration, many cultural performances were organised, including Kun Lbokator, Ayai, shadow puppet performances and traditional dances.

The ANA also hosted an exhibition which detailed some of their 30 years of achievements in conservation and sustainable development at the Angkor site.
