Traffic accidents are now a major concern in Cambodia – they nearly always happen because someone is behaving dangerously.

There has recently been a picture posted on Facebook showing a young man riding a motorbike in a rude way. It is followed with Mr Ghost saying to the young man: “Don’t worry boy! I will book the ceremonial hall for you!”

The young man replies: “Please, find out the good chef for me during that time in order to avoid losing my daddy’s money.”

The picture and the phrases seem like a funny story, but they hide the deeper meaning.

There are many people on Facebook sharing this picture, with more than 1,000 users liking and commenting on the picture. Some see the good side of the picture, but some do not appreciate it.

Sarah Sereykanha Lek commented: “Ha! ha! ha! . . . Love it!”

User Em Panhavadh expressed an unhappy thought: “I do not know who is going to die first? Since the human rides the moto holding the handles tight and Mr Ghost does not, and writes without caring, Mr Ghost gonna die first.”

Just remember that the ghost is just a shadow so that Mr Ghost cannot die. Only the person who does not respect the traffic law will face an accident and become a ghost, unless they kill an innocent person. Respecting yourself means respecting others. Your life is in your hands – you have to keep it.
