Asean chief visits

Rodolfo Severino, Asean's secretary-general, arrived Phnom Penh on July 5 for

his first visit since Cambodia's entry in April into the regional group. He said

his three day visit was a courtesy visit. He added that he would briefly discuss

Asean issues with Cambodian officials. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet

Prime Minister Hun Sen, Prince Norodom Ranariddh, president of the national assembly,

and Chea Sim. chief of senate and other officials.
