Blaze destroys building in rehabilitation centre in Phnom Penh

A fire razed a building at the Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre in Phnom Penh’s Russey Keo district Sunday night before it was put out by firefighters.

Municipal fire police chief Neth Vantha said the blaze lasted 30 minutes, but no one was hurt.

“We are still finding the cause of this fire,’’ Vantha said.

He said the department expects more fires during the Lunar New Year this weekend and has readied its 20 fire trucks.
