Agovernment interministerial working group has been set up to investigate Chan Yipun,
arrested in Pursat province last year after he announced himself to be "Buddha
and Virtuous King", said the DFDL weekly law update on February 17.
In November 2003 Yipun distributed a letter inviting "millions of people"
to join him in a parade entering the Royal Palace, said Chhorn Iem, secretary of
state with the Ministry of Cults and Religions and part of the investigating team.
The working group includes of representatives from the National Police, Council of
Ministers, Ministry of Interior and the National Defense Ministry.
