Former Hotel Renakse Manager Kem Chantha filed an appeal Monday to reinstate her lease, which she has claimed gives her control of the hotel until April 2050. Government officials have said that Kem Chantha let the historic hotel, which she managed for nearly two decades, fall into an unacceptable state of disrepair. Kem Chantha was barred from the premises on January 6, and the Municipal Court ruled in July that she had failed to fulfill the terms of her contract.
