The government has asked the World Bank and international NGOs for US$5 million to supply the country's schools with calculators. Chan Roth, director of the department of technology research at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, hopes they will help students develop skills in mathematics. "If students are able to use calculators, it would be easier for them to look for a job in the future," he said.
