To mark International Literacy Day on Tuesday, Prime Minister Hun Sen called on educators and government officials to work to improve youth literacy by 50 percent by the year 2015. Sixty percent of Cambodian women are currently illiterate, according to Rong Chhun, the president of the Cambodian Independent Teachers Association.
