The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has condemned drone and missile attacks on parts of UAE capital Abu Dhabi that killed at least three people on January 17.

Media reported that Yemeni Houthi militants, allegedly aligned with Iran, on January 17 launched a combination of drone and missile strikes near the Abu Dhabi airport and an oil depot that triggered multiple explosions, killed three people – two Indian nationals and one Pakistani – and wounded at least six others.

The ministry underscored in a statement on January 20 that it “strongly condemns the heinous attacks on an oil storage facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, which resulted in the loss of civilian lives and the destruction of property”.

“Cambodia calls for an end to all acts of violence that could compromise peace, stability and security in the region, or jeopardise the lives of civilians,” it said.
