THE Cambodian Club of Journalists has re-elected Pen Samitthy, editor of the daily newspaper Rasmey Kampuchea, as president of the organisation. A total of 149 CCJ members voted yesterday to elect 15 new board members, who then re-elected Pen Samitthy as president. “I am very pleased to win and to continue my work on the CCJ’s behalf,” Pen Samitthy said. The CCJ was established in 2000 as an advocacy organisation to protect journalists and support freedom of expression.
