The People's Republic of China is lending Cambodia US$40 million for restoration
of irrigation systems in Svay Rieng and Kampong Thom, according to Cambodian Foreign
Minister Hor Namhong.
China has agreed to provide $200m in soft loans to Cambodia. Hor Namhong said this
was the first installment of those loans.
