Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) has made an appeal for $10 million per year to

carry out de-mining programs.

Money is needed for the next five years to support a trust fund controlled by UNDP.

The organization has also appointed Dr Lao Mong Hay as both assistant and acting

director.

There are an estimated eight to ten million mines in Cambodia which kill or injure

over 300 people every month.
