Dr Helmut Ohlraun, presented his credentials to King Norodom Sihanouk September 22

as the new German ambassador to Cambodia. Renewing the German government's commitment

to "continue and intensify" co-operation between the two countries, he

said that Cambodia could rely on Germany to help strengthen democracy, the rule of

law and economic development. Dr Ohlraun's last posting was to the Congo.
