Cruise liner Costa Serena pays visit to Sihanoukville

The large Italian cruise liner the Costa Serena paid a visit to the town of Sihanoukville, from May 17-18, bringing over 1,600 visitors to the to the coastal town.

The Preah Sihanouk Department of Tourism announced that the vessel arrived on May 17 from Thailand, with 1,671 guests aboard.

The 114,000-tonne ship is 290.20m long and has a beam of 35.50m. The passengers were drawn from 33 nations, with 1,462 Thai citizens aboard, along with 28 Chinese.

They were warmly welcomed by the tourism office officials, according to the provincial tourism department.
