An elderly couple were hospitalised after being attacked by a horned deer while they swept rubbish in front of their house at the Vongkut Borei pagoda in the capital’s Sen Sok district.

Ou Vary, 78, and his 73-year-old wife said the deer charged them and knocked them to the ground.

They were treated in hospital for their injuries.

Their relatives are urging the chief monk at the pagoda to take the deer to Ta Mao zoo to keep it from injuring others.
