Education minister discusses cooperation with ACC

Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Hang Chuon Naron and Shi Zhongjun, secretary-general of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met on April 20 to discuss a variety of topics surrounding cooperation in the education sector.

An education ministry social media post announced that the meeting was held to review and discuss the general situation of education cooperation at the ACC, as well as the general direction and development of the education sector in Cambodia.

“During the meeting, Zhongjun made several requests for cooperation. They included a youth camp for Cambodian and ASEAN students, development of ASEAN-China TVET policy dialogue, digital and economy education, an exchange programme for Cambodian TVET teachers and students, research and development to promote the education system, capacity building for TVET teachers and school management, and workshops to share experiences,” it said.

It added that Chuon Naron raised several priority areas for cooperation with the ACC, such as an exchange programme for teachers and students, scholarships, knowledge and experience sharing and educational technology.
