France donates $3m to temple restoration

France donates $3m to temple restoration

The French Embassy in Phnom Penh will make a donation of US$3 million for a temple restoration project in Siem Reap later this year, according to Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Him Chhem. The donation was confirmed during a meeting with the French ambassador on Friday and the project will aim to repair a portion of the West Mebun temple in Siem Reap at an undetermined time later this year.
