A French surveillance frigate called Vendemiaire arrived in Cambodia yesterday after visiting Vietnam and will be docked in Sihanoukville for four days before heading to Thailand. “The arrival of this frigate is to strengthen ties between Cambodia and France and [so] the navies of both countries can exchange good experience,” Preah Sihanouk Provincial Governor Sboang Sarath said yesterday. A press release from the French Embassy in Cambodia stated yesterday that the exchange of experience will include meetings at the Ream Naval Base and recreational activities.
