At least 39 workers including two men at the Green Meadow Development garment factory in the capital’s Dangkor district fainted and were hospitalised on Monday.

Pong Teuk commune police chief Van Sareoun said the workers lost consciousness after an unidentified translator shouted loudly.

“Before the incident, the translator put his arms around the neck and shoulder of a female worker, prompting her to complain to the administration office which then summoned him for questioning. But the translator did not comply and started to yell loudly in the factory, scaring the workers who then fainted”.
