Former Royal Cambodian Armed Forces general Samith Virak, sentenced to four years’ jail last month for hiding illegal weapons and enlisting illegal soldiers, has appealed his conviction.
Samith Virak, who was also fined about US$2000, will argue that the military court ruling was not based on proper evidence and relied on a witness who had a vendetta against him.
Nach Try, his lawyer during his military court trial, said Samith Virak had lodged a complaint to the Appeal Court by himself.
