The government of Japan is providing over $172,000 for maternal and child health care in Prey Veng. The grant was announced February 28. SHARE, a Japanese NGO, aims to improve health services in the region by providing training for staff of six health centers as well as health volunteers and traditional birth attendants in areas where there is a shortage of health facilities.
