The Kandal Provincial Administration has reopened all state markets in Takhmao town after the community outbreak of Covid-19 eased.

The provincial hall instructed the management and staff at each market to continue implementing preventive measures and manage all stalls in accordance with guidelines to minimise coronavirus transmission risks.

Vendors are required to surround their stalls with safety lines as part of distancing measures. All market goers are required to wear facemasks, take temperature, wash hands and maintain distancing.

Gatherings are banned and the number of people allowed at each market also needs to be limited. The provincial hall also encouraged vendors and customers to transition to electronic payments to avoid physical contact.
