King father to visit 'old friend' in Hanoi

King Father Norodom Sihanouk is scheduled to visit Hanoi on June 22 to meet privately with an unnamed Vietnamese dignitary, he said in a statement. “During my stay in Hanoi for two to three days, I will receive an audience from the Vietnamese high dignitary in friendship,” Sihanouk wrote on his website on Monday. He added that because he is retired, his meeting will be non-diplomatic and non-political. Um Daruth, an adviser for the King Father, said the visit will last until June 25.
