Lightning kills couple

A couple were killed and another person injured by lightning on Friday as they took shelter from a storm in a store in Kampong Cham province’s Memot district, officials said yesterday. Memot commune chief Men Sam Ol said the lightning struck the shop roof, killing the couple and injuring the owner. Keo Vy, chief of cabinet for the National Committee for Disaster Management, said  157 people had been killed and 130 injured by lightning this year.
