Man killed and two injured by lightning

One man died and two others were knocked unconscious when lightning struck on Saturday in Choeung Kor commune in Preah Sihanouk province’s Prey Nop district. Choeung Kor commune chief Ngoun Chea said yesterday that Chhoun Samboeun, 25, died instantly when he was struck by lightning as he was stood talking to other villagers. “The other two people fell unconscious, Lon Mom, 34 …and 64-year-old Hong Phath,” said Ngoun Chea, adding that both were unharmed. Chhoun Samboeun is the second person in Choeung Kor commune to have died after being struck by lightning this year.
