Two more participants from the Preah Ang Duong Hospital are pursuing a 14-day study abroad programme in the Republic of Korea at the “Invitational Training Programme for Medical Equipment and Facility Managers”, according to a press statement released by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

They have been invited by KOICA and the Soonchunhyang University Medical Centre under the “Project for Capacity Building at the Ears Nose Throat (ENT) Center at Preah Ang Duong Hospital” from August 23 to September 5.

It said the goal of this training program is to improve knowledge and management skill regarding medical equipment and facility management in the hospital through capacity building of facility management and medical equipment management.

So far this year, KOICA has already invited ten doctors and seven nurses from Preah Ang Duong Hospital to attend training courses in South Korea from May to July. They also plan to host five management staff members from the hospital, including the director of the hospital, for a 7-day training session in September.

Kim Kwang Wook, deputy country director of KOICA Cambodia, congratulated the Cambodian doctors and nurses on their acceptance to the programme.

He requested that the participants avail themselves of this opportunity to learn about Korea’s development during their stay and to share their experiences when they return to Cambodia in order to support sustainable development in the Kingdom.
