The Preah Vihear Provincial Administration has decided to shut Kampong Pranak market in Preah Vihear town's Kampong Pranak commune for two weeks through August 12 after Covid-19 cases were detected there.

In a notice dated July 30, provincial governor Prak Sovann told relevant authorities to enforce the decision in order to prevent the virus spreading.

As of July 31, Preah Vihear had recorded a total of 575 cases, including 22 children, and one death.
