Eng Sokha, 19, was sentenced to 12 years in jail July 2 for the rape of an eight-year-old girl in Kandal province in January. Sokha, a serial rapist of young girls, was also ordered to pay two million riel compensation to the victim's family. In January last year Sokha was given a six month sentence when the judge ruled that his rape of a six year old girl "was not deep".
