Two men were sent to court on Saturday after they were arrested on September 11 for robbing a foreign exchange shop at a market in the capital’s Sen Sok district of more than $20,000.

Municipal Court spokesman Y Rin said Sunday Taing Run, 31, and La Theara, 24, were being questioned by an investigating judge.

“The two have been charged and detained at Prey Sar prison in connection with a robbery at Chhouk Meas market. They are charged with robbery under aggravating circumstances and illegal use of a weapon under Article 353, 357 and 490 of the Criminal Code,” he said.

The Interior Ministry’s criminal department deputy director said police are seeking the arrest of the pair’s accomplices.
