A thousand tons of fresh vegetables are being imported into Cambodia each month from
the Vietnamese province of An Giang, said Vietnamese provincial Trade Department
officials in a Vietnamese News Agency report.
Farmers in Hoi An and Kien An communes of Cho Moi district now cultivate vegetables
on a total of 3,200 hectares of land, while farmers in other areas of An Giang have
recently begun to grow vegetables on 7,000 hectares for domestic consumption and
export to Cambodia.
