Woman dies after setting self on fire

A woman in Battambang’s Dambok Khpous village died on Tuesday after setting herself on fire, local officials said. Battambang provincial police officer Chet Vanny said the woman, Chrob Lout, 49, covered herself with piles of hay before igniting herself at about 9am on Sunday while her husband and four children were at home. Chet Vanny said the woman had a previous history of suicide attempts, trying on earlier occasions to hang herself, but was saved by family members.
