Aeon shoppers opt for a five-finger discount

It had to happen. Phnom Penh’s newest shopping success story has finally made the Blotter. Police said the fateful crime happened on Monday as a 27-year-old woman visited a cosmetics shop in Aeon Mall.

Whilst a friend distracted the staff, the suspect managed to scoop some $200 worth of high-end products into her bag before the pair bolted.

While her accomplice eluded market security, our protagonist was left, quite literally, holding the bag. She’s been sent to court to be charged. DEUM AMPIL
