After home destroyed in blaze, blase goon gone

An alleged junkie with a reputation for cursing, fighting and stealing can now add “firebug” to his resume after an incident in Kampong Cham’s Ponhea Krek district on Tuesday.

Police said the 19-year-old was roaming the village when he spotted a house whose owner was away at his farm. Apparently having nothing better to do, he set fire to the house, which was destroyed along with its contents before fire trucks could arrive. The man fled and is still at large. Koh Santepheap
