Nearly a dozen stretches of steel barrier were knocked down in their prime on Monivong Boulevard in the small hours of yesterday morning.

The driver of a white Lexus with a bigger appetite for speed than safety miscalculated their steering and ploughed into the barriers, careening through 10 of them before correcting his course and speeding into the night.

Police are yet to apprehend the speed demon.
